Sunday's Sermon

This Sunday I'm excited about preaching a message titled, "A Place Called I Don't Know" from 2nd Chronicles 20:12. It's a practical sermon, that meets everyone where they are. I'm positive that all of us have been there, are headed there or are there right now. Sometimes life will drop you off in confusing situations that leave you stuck. Don't miss this week's edition of Café Grace at 10:45 a.m. for an amazing atmosphere of friends and fellowship, coffee and pastries and a life-changing message!

Start Right!

It's my prayer, that your Saturday has been as peaceful as mine. I'm anxious about getting to worship in the morning. There's absolutely no other way to start your week, other than in worship at Café Grace! I encourage you, to Start Right!!!

Tomorrow, I'll lead our discussion from Psalm 107:2 about Enthusiasm-The Responsibility of the Redeemed. The point of our talk, is to promote that God deserves, desires and demands enthusiasm from all who love him. It's an empowering word, that you'll be mad if you miss it.

I'm asking that you be intentional in the morning about being on time. Don't be slack in your promptness. Give your spiritual development top priority, as we focus on teaching, fellowship, meals, the Lord's Supper and prayer! Lucretia Taylor and our hospitality volunteers are prepared for you, your friends and family to enjoy the fellowship, coffee, pastries and conversation, starting at 10:30 a.m.

Alright, I'm going to ready myself for worship. Don't meet me there, beat me there! I love you toward abundant life in Jesus Christ! Don't forget to Start Right!!!

We invite you to come out to cafe' Grace before service and get to know a group of people that will welcome you with open arms and let you know you are loved and forgiven! Church That Matters (Diligence)

Greetings! This post is to strictly to enlighten you of the teachings of our Bible Study Lesson, which is our edition of September to Remember. We strongly desire that you take this as your own personal study, because you matter to God, which entitles you to matter to us!

Title...Church That Matters

Text...Acts 3:1 "Peter and John went to the Temple one afternoon to take part in the three o'clock prayer service."

This is a 5 week systematic study, with a central focus on 'Church That Matters'. It's designed to encourage a deeper commitment to discipleship development and to motivate our membership to become active participants in ministry eccentricities and regularly sharing their faith stories.

Diligence is careful and persistent work or effort ( attentive to one's work)
The beauty of Christian Discipleship( last week's focus), is that it's a life of macro-vision and not micro-vision.
The daily practice of the believer is to intentionally, "be for the world, the body of Christ, redeemed by his blood."

            Relationship: Peter and John
Participation: Went to the temple one afternoon to take part in ( ex: they came to participate in not to  dictate. You have to be willing to put something in, in order to get something out. Faith without work is dead.)
Priority: the three o'clock prayer service

When disciples are diligent in their duty, four facts are Evident:
     Opportunity presents itself ( verses 2-3 )
Our voices become valuable ( verses 4-6 )
     Our strength become a resource ( verses 7-8 )
Our lives begin to serve as an attraction (verses 9-11)
