Church That Matters (Diligence)
Greetings! This post is to strictly to enlighten you of the teachings of our Bible Study Lesson, which is our edition of September to Remember. We strongly desire that you take this as your own personal study, because you matter to God, which entitles you to matter to us!
Title...Church That Matters
Text...Acts 3:1 "Peter and John went to the Temple one afternoon to take part in the three o'clock prayer service."
This is a 5 week systematic study, with a central focus on 'Church That Matters'. It's designed to encourage a deeper commitment to discipleship development and to motivate our membership to become active participants in ministry eccentricities and regularly sharing their faith stories.
Diligence is careful and persistent work or effort ( attentive to one's work)
The beauty of Christian Discipleship( last week's focus), is that it's a life of macro-vision and not micro-vision.
The daily practice of the believer is to intentionally, "be for the world, the body of Christ, redeemed by his blood."
Relationship: Peter and John
Participation: Went to the temple one afternoon to take part in ( ex: they came to participate in not to dictate. You have to be willing to put something in, in order to get something out. Faith without work is dead.)
Priority: the three o'clock prayer service
When disciples are diligent in their duty, four facts are Evident:
Opportunity presents itself ( verses 2-3 )
Our voices become valuable ( verses 4-6 )
Our strength become a resource ( verses 7-8 )
Our lives begin to serve as an attraction (verses 9-11)
Join us next Tuesday, Noon or 6pm, as this series continues with Acts 8:26-39 (Dedication)
